WORKING ON HIP SNAPS
WORKING WITH STUDENT ON C TO C ROLLS

There are many levels to sea kayaking; from a relaxing paddle on calm serene water, to the thrill of extended open ocean touring on a rolling sea. How far you wish to take your skill level is up to you.
Starting with the basics of boat and paddle design to learning how to roll, advanced maneuvers, hypothermia prevention, wilderness first aid, navigation and extended trip planning, we will teach you the confidence building skills you need to get more enjoyment out of any level of kayak touring.

Don't have a boat? No problem. We can provide boats and gear. We use the Current Designs Sirocco for our advanced courses and the Wilderness Systems Freedom for our beginner courses.

The Sirocco is the rotomold version of Derek Hutchinson's Gulf Stream and is a high performance kayak with the beginner in mind.

The Freedom is a very stable sit-on-top with a fast, Greenland style touring hull. It has most of the performance you will find in a sea kayak and the comfort a sit-on-top.

Each Freedom is fitted with a high back brace and thigh braces. Like a sea kayak that you "wear" for performance, these braces allow the paddler to "wear" the Freedom without the feeling of being trapped inside the boat.

We are now booking all of our sea kayak instruction on a private, group or individual basis. So, booking dates can be worked around your schedule.
